Kia Ora Everyone,
For PE this term, we have been starting off with passing and throwing technics, we played benchball to start off with, then basketball, then netball, multisport and we are now focusing on playing korfball. Down below will be instructions of how to play benchbal and korfball.
Equipment you need for benchball:
Ball, Bibs (if required)
How to play bencball/setting up
For benchball you have 2 benches placed from a far distance facing eachother, You have 2 different teams and one person from each team stands on a bench each. Two teams go on opposite sides of the courts. If you have the ball you have to try and pass it to the person on the bench, and if they catch it then you go on the bench with them and then the other team gets the ball and you play from there.
Equipment needed for korfball:
Ball, Bibs (if required)
How to play/rules:
The ball is played by hands only, for korball you have 2 korfball nets and 2 teams. All you have to do is stick with a partner from a different team and you can only defend that one player. both teams can only go up to the half line. When you have the ball you can’t move with it, when you are being defended you can not shoot the ball into your hoop.
