“Rainbow” Experiment

Hi everyone,

Aim: Why did we do this experiment?

To neutralise the acid with the base and making a rainbow in a test tube.

Equipment: What did we use for our experiment?

HCL which is ‘Hydrochloric acid’

NaOH whch is ‘Sodium Hydroxide’, and the ‘Universal imdicator’ we used a test tube.

Method: What steps did you complete to get your results for your experiment? Make sure your steps are numbered (like a recipe)

We had to use the acids and put them all together to get a colour and keep adding more to get a different colour.

Results & Disscusion

Our results ended up not being a rainbow. Whenever we used the acids it would either turn orange, blue or purple.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, me and Marleighs experiment didn’t end up working and I think it is because we added to much acids all at one time and didnt tap the test tube and wait for the colour to change.

Thanks for reaind my blog post.
